How to remove Popup Blocker adware (removal tutorial)

In order to remove Popup Blocker adware, start by closing any applications and popups that are open. How to manually delete Popup Blocker

Delete unwanted or recently added programs

More often this adware software can be removed by simply uninstalling it from the ‘Uninstall a Program’ that is located in Microsoft Windows control panel.

Click the Microsoft Windows logo, and then click Search MS Windows search. Type ‘Control panel’and press Enter as on the image below.

Open Start menu and choose the ‘Control Panel’ at right such as the one below.

Then go to ‘Add/Remove Programs’ or ‘Uninstall a program’ (MS Windows 7 or Vista) as shown in the figure below.

Carefully browse through the list of installed apps and remove all questionable and unknown programs. We suggest to press ‘Installed programs’ and even sorts all installed applications by date. When you have found anything dubious that can be the Popup Blocker adware or other potentially unwanted program (PUP), then choose this application and click ‘Uninstall’ in the upper part of the window. If the suspicious program blocked from removal, then use Revo Uninstaller Freeware to fully delete it from your personal computer.

Remove Popup Blocker adware from Internet Explorer

By resetting IE browser you return your internet browser settings to its default state. This is first when troubleshooting problems that might have been caused by Popup Blocker adware.

First, start the Internet Explorer, press IE tools menu icon) button. Next, press “Internet Options” as displayed on the image below.

In the “Internet Options” screen select the Advanced tab. Next, click Reset button. The Microsoft Internet Explorer will open the Reset Internet Explorer settings dialog box. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box and click Reset button.

You will now need to restart your device for the changes to take effect. It will remove Popup Blocker , disable malicious and ad-supported web-browser’s extensions and restore the Microsoft Internet Explorer’s settings such as start page, new tab and search provider to default state.

Remove Popup Blocker from Chrome

Run the Reset web browser utility of the Chrome to reset all its settings such as new tab page, search provider and startpage to original defaults. This is a very useful tool to use, in the case of web-browser redirects to unwanted sites.

First launch the Google Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal dots (Google Chrome menu button).

It will display the Google Chrome menu. Choose More Tools, then click Extensions. Carefully browse through the list of installed extensions. If the list has the extension signed with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following tutorial: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.

Open the Google Chrome menu once again. Further, click the option named “Settings”.

The browser will display the settings screen. Another method to display the Google Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the web-browser adress bar and press Enter

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and press the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset” section is visible, as displayed below and click the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

The Google Chrome will display the confirmation prompt as shown below.

You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The browser will run the process of cleaning. When it’s done, the web-browser’s settings including search provider by default, new tab page and start page back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your computer.

Delete Popup Blocker adware from Mozilla Firefox

If Mozilla Firefox settings are hijacked by the adware, your browser shows intrusive pop-up advertisements, then ‘Reset Firefox’ could solve these problems. However, your saved passwords and bookmarks will not be changed or cleared.

First, start the Mozilla Firefox. Next, press the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Firefox menu button). It will display the drop-down menu. Next, click the Help button (Firefox help button).
