It will open the confirmation prompt. Further, press the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Firefox will begin a process to fix your problems that caused by the Speed Check adware. When, it is finished, click the “Finish” button.
Remove Speed Check from Chrome
Unwanted ads or other symptom of having adware in your web-browser is a good reason to reset Chrome. This is an easy method to restore the Google Chrome settings and not lose any important information.
First open the Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal dots ().
It will open the Chrome menu. Select More Tools, then click Extensions. Carefully browse through the list of installed extensions. You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The internet browser will start the task of cleaning. After it is finished, the web browser’s settings including startpage, search provider by default and new tab back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your computer.
Get rid of Speed Check from Internet Explorer
If you find that Microsoft Internet Explorer internet browser settings such as startpage, default search provider and new tab had been replaced by Speed Check adware, then you can restore your settings, via the reset browser procedure.
First, open the Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon . It will open the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the web browser, then press the “Internet Options” as displayed in the figure below.
In the “Internet Options” screen, select the “Advanced” tab, then click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will open the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” dialog box.
