What is Serch13.biz?

Serch13.biz is a website that uses social engineering techniques to fool you and other unsuspecting victims into subscribing to browser notifications. Although browser push notifications cannot harm you directly, scammers use them to display annoying advertisements, promote dubious apps, and encourage users to visit unsafe web-pages.

When you visit the Serch13.biz website that wants to send you browser notifications, you will be greeted with a fake message that asks whether you want to agree to them or not. Your options will be ‘Block’ and ‘Allow’. Once enabled, the Serch13.biz spam notifications will start popping up in the right bottom corner of your desktop randomly and spam you with intrusive adverts.

Cyber threat analysts have determined that users are redirected to Serch13.biz by adware or from shady ads. Adware can cause issues for your PC.   • Open Chrome.
  • In the right upper corner, tap on Chrome’s main menu button, represented by three vertical dots.
  • In the menu tap ‘Settings’, scroll down to ‘Advanced’.
  • Tap on ‘Site settings’ and then ‘Notifications’. In the opened window, locate the Serch13.biz URL, other rogue notifications and tap on them one-by-one.
  • Tap the ‘Clean & Reset’ button and confirm.

  • In the top-right corner, click the Firefox menu (three bars).
  • Go to ‘Options’, and Select ‘Privacy & Security’ on the left side of the window.
  • Scroll down to ‘Permissions’ section and click ‘Settings…’ button next to ‘Notifications’.
  • Find sites you down’t want to see notifications from (for example, Serch13.biz), click on drop-down menu next to each and select ‘Block’.
  • Save changes.
  • In the top-right corner, click on the three dots to expand the Edge menu.
  • Click ‘Settings’. Click ‘Advanced’ on the left side of the window.
  • Click ‘Manage permissions’ button under ‘Website permissions’.
  • Right-click the Serch13.biz site. Click ‘Delete’.

  • Select ‘Internet options’.
  • Click on the ‘Privacy’ tab and select ‘Settings’ in the pop-up blockers section.
  • Find the Serch13.biz site and click the ‘Remove’ button to delete the URL.
  • Go to ‘Preferences’ in the Safari menu.
  • Select the ‘Websites’ tab and then select ‘Notifications’ section on the left panel.
  • Check for Serch13.biz, other questionable URLs and apply the ‘Deny’ option for each.

How to remove Serch13.biz pop ups from Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge

As with uninstalling adware, malware or PUPs, there are few steps you can do. We recommend trying them all. Removing the Serch13.biz, check the list of installed programs first

Open Start menu and select the ‘Control Panel’ at right as displayed on the screen below.

Then go to ‘Add/Remove Programs’ or ‘Uninstall a program’ (MS Windows 7 or Vista) as shown in the figure below.

Carefully browse through the list of installed programs and remove all dubious and unknown applications. We recommend to press ‘Installed programs’ and even sorts all installed apps by date. After you’ve found anything questionable that may be the adware software responsible for Serch13.biz popup ads or other potentially unwanted program (PUP), then choose this application and click ‘Uninstall’ in the upper part of the window. If the questionable application blocked from removal, then run Revo Uninstaller Freeware to fully delete it from your PC system.

If adware software, other program or plugins replaced your Chrome settings without your knowledge, then you can get rid of Serch13.biz pop-up ads and revert back your web-browser settings in Chrome at any time. However, your saved passwords and bookmarks will not be changed or cleared.
