It will display the “Troubleshooting Information” page as displayed on the image below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, click the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will display the confirmation prompt. Further, click the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Firefox will begin a task to fix your problems that caused by the RequestTop adware. When, it is finished, click the “Finish” button.

Get rid of RequestTop from Safari

By resetting Safari internet browser you restore your browser settings to its default state. This is basic when troubleshooting problems that might have been caused by the RequestTop adware.

Click Safari menu and select “Preferences”.

It will open the Safari Preferences window. Next, click the “Extensions” tab. Look for unknown and suspicious addons on left panel, select it, then click the “Uninstall” button. Most important to remove all unknown extensions from Safari.

Once complete, click “General” tab. Change the “Default Search Engine” to Google.

Remove RequestTop adware from Google Chrome

Use the Reset internet browser utility of the Google Chrome to reset all its settings like homepage, search provider and newtab page to original defaults. This is a very useful utility to use, in the case of adware infection.

  1. First run the Chrome and click Menu button (small button in the form of three dots).
  2. It will show the Google Chrome main menu. Choose More Tools, then press Extensions.
  3. You’ll see the list of installed add-ons. If the list has the plugin labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following guidance: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
  4. Now open the Chrome menu once again, click the “Settings” menu.
  5. You will see the Google Chrome’s settings page. Scroll down and click “Advanced” link.
  6. Scroll down again and press the “Reset” button.
  7. The Chrome will show the reset profile settings page as shown on the screen above.
  8. Next click the “Reset” button.
  9. Once this process is complete, your internet browser’s start page, default search provider and new tab page will be restored to their original defaults.
