Uninstall questionable apps using Microsoft Windows Control Panel

The process of adware software removal is generally the same across all versions of MS Windows OS from 10 to XP. To start with, it’s necessary to check the list of installed applications on your PC system and uninstall all unused, unknown and questionable apps.

Remove Ads by FlowAds from Firefox by resetting web-browser settings

If the Firefox settings have been modified by the adware, then resetting it to the default state can help. When using the reset feature, your personal information like passwords, bookmarks, browsing history and web form auto-fill data will be saved.

Click the Menu button (looks like three horizontal lines), and press the blue Help icon located at the bottom of the drop down menu as shown on the image below.

Follow the onscreen procedure to revert back your Mozilla Firefox internet browser settings to their default state.

Remove FlowAds adware from Chrome

Another way to delete Ads by FlowAds from Chrome is Reset Chrome settings. This will disable malicious addons and reset Google Chrome settings to default values. However, your saved passwords and bookmarks will not be changed, deleted or cleared.

  1. First, launch the Chrome and click the Menu icon (icon in the form of three dots).
  2. It will open the Google Chrome main menu. Choose More Tools, then click Extensions.
  3. You’ll see the list of installed plugins. If the list has the add-on labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following guide: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
  4. Now open the Google Chrome menu once again, click the “Settings” menu.
  5. Next, press “Advanced” link, that located at the bottom of the Settings page.
  6. On the bottom of the “Advanced settings” page, click the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.
  7. The Chrome will display the reset settings dialog box as shown on the image above.
  8. Confirm the web browser’s reset by clicking on the “Reset” button.

Get rid of FlowAds adware software from Microsoft Internet Explorer

The Internet Explorer reset is great if your browser is hijacked or you have unwanted add-ons or toolbars on your internet browser, that installed by an malware.

First, start the Internet Explorer. Next, click the button in the form of gear (Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will display the Tools drop-down menu, press the “Internet Options” as displayed in the following example.

  2. At the download page, click on the Download button. Your web-browser will display the “Save as” prompt. Please save it onto your Windows desktop.
  3. Once downloading is complete, please close all applications and open windows on your PC system. Next, start a file called Zemana.AntiMalware.Setup.
  4. This will open the “Setup wizard” of Zemana Free onto your system. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.
