- At the download page, click on the Download button. Your web-browser will show the “Save as” dialog box. Please save it onto your Windows desktop.
- Once downloading is finished, please close all software and open windows on your PC. Next, run a file called Zemana.AntiMalware.Setup.
- This will start the “Setup wizard” of Zemana Free onto your system. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.

When the download is finished, close all windows on your computer. Further, run the file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” dialog box pops up as on the image below, click the “Yes” button.
It will display the “Setup wizard” which will help you setup MalwareBytes on the PC system. Follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
Once setup is complete successfully, click Finish button. Then MalwareBytes will automatically start and you may see its main window as shown below.
Next, click the “Scan Now” button to begin checking your PC system for the Ursnif virus related files, folders and registry keys. This procedure can take quite a while, so please be patient. While the utility is checking, you can see how many objects and files has already scanned.
Once that process is finished, MalwareBytes AntiMalware will display a scan report. Next, you need to press “Quarantine Selected” button.

Get rid of Ursnif Trojan from Microsoft Internet Explorer
If you find that Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser settings had been hijacked by the Ursnif virus, then you may restore your settings, via the reset browser process.
First, start the IE, then click ‘gear’ icon . It will show the Tools drop-down menu on the right part of the web-browser, then click the “Internet Options” as shown in the figure below.

If your Google Chrome web browser settings are altered by Ursnif Trojan, it may be necessary to completely reset your browser program to its original state.
- First, launch the Google Chrome and press the Menu icon (icon in the form of three dots).
- It will display the Google Chrome main menu. Choose More Tools, then click Extensions.
- You’ll see the list of installed plugins. If the list has the plugin labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following steps: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
- Now open the Chrome menu once again, press the “Settings” menu.
- Next, click “Advanced” link, that located at the bottom of the Settings page.
- On the bottom of the “Advanced settings” page, press the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.
