How to remove TV Guru [Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge]

Myantispyware team August 6, 2018

The TV Guru is defined as browser hijacker. When the Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Google Chrome is affected with this browser hijacker, browser’s settings like search engine, new tab page and homepage may be changed without permission. Whenever you start the browser, the TV Guru appears as your startpage instead of your previous home page. All the time, while the TV Guru will be set as your start page and search engine, its authors will be able to collect confidential data, everything related to what are you doing on the Internet.

As mentioned above, the TV Guru hijacker also changes the internet browser’s search provider. So, your browser, when searching something, will open a hodgepodge of ads, links to undesired and ad sites and search results from the big search providers like Google or Bing. As a result, actual use of a browser’s search becomes uncomfortable. Moreover, it may also lead to slowing or even freeze your web-browser.

While the TV Guru browser hijacker is active, you won’t be able to return the Firefox, MS Edge, Chrome and Microsoft Internet Explorer’ settings such as search engine by default, home page and new tab page. If you try to set your startpage to be Google, Bing or Yahoo, those settings will be automatically altered to TV Guru with the next PC system restart.
