Remove potentially unwanted apps through the MS Windows Control Panel

In order to remove All Social, first thing you need to do is to uninstall unknown and questionable programs from your PC using Microsoft Windows control panel. Most commonly, malware masks itself to avoid detection by imitating legitimate Microsoft Windows processes. Windows Vista, 7

From the “Start” menu in MS Windows, select “Control Panel”. Under the “Programs” icon, choose “Uninstall a program”.

Get rid of All Social from Google Chrome

In order to be sure that there is nothing left behind, we advise you to reset Chrome web browser. It’ll revert back Chrome settings including new tab page, home page and search provider to defaults.

  1. First, run the Google Chrome and click the Menu icon (icon in the form of three dots).
  2. It will open the Chrome main menu. Choose More Tools, then press Extensions.
  3. You will see the list of installed plugins. If the list has the extension labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following steps: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
  4. Now open the Chrome menu once again, click the “Settings” menu.
  5. Next, click “Advanced” link, which located at the bottom of the Settings page.
  6. On the bottom of the “Advanced settings” page, click the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.
  7. The Chrome will show the reset settings dialog box as shown on the image above.
  8. Confirm the web browser’s reset by clicking on the “Reset” button.

Remove All Social redirect from Mozilla Firefox

Resetting your FF is first troubleshooting step for any issues with your browser program, including the redirect to All Social web-page.

First, start the FF and click FF menu button button. It will open the drop-down menu on the right-part of the web-browser. Further, press the Help button (Firefox help button) like below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the internet browser adress bar and press Enter. It will show the “Troubleshooting Information” page as on the image below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, click the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will open the confirmation prompt. Further, press the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Mozilla Firefox will begin a task to fix your problems that caused by the hijacker infection which cause a reroute to All Social web-page. Once, it is complete, press the “Finish” button.

Remove All Social startpage from Microsoft Internet Explorer

First, launch the Microsoft Internet Explorer. Next, press the button in the form of gear (Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will display the Tools drop-down menu, click the “Internet Options” as displayed below.

In the “Internet Options” window click on the Advanced tab, then press the Reset button. The IE will show the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” window as shown on the image below. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box, then click “Reset” button.

  2. At the download page, click on the Download button. Your internet browser will display the “Save as” prompt. Please save it onto your Windows desktop.
  3. Once the download is done, please close all software and open windows on your PC system. Double-click on the icon that’s named mb3-setup.
  4. This will run the “Setup wizard” of MalwareBytes Anti Malware onto your PC system. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.
  5. When the Setup wizard has finished installing, the MalwareBytes AntiMalware will launch and open the main window.
  6. Further, press the “Scan Now” button . MalwareBytes Anti-Malware program will scan through the whole personal computer for the All Social browser hijacker and other web browser’s malicious addons. While the MalwareBytes Free program is checking, you can see count of objects it has identified as threat.
  7. After the scan is finished, MalwareBytes Free will display a scan report.
