Delete Update your Video Player ads from Chrome

Like other modern web browsers, the Chrome has the ability to reset the settings to their default values and thereby remove the redirect to Update your Video Player misleading ads which is caused by the adware.

Once it is finished, the web-browser settings including the ‘block pop-ups’ option back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your computer.

Delete Update your Video Player advertisements from FF

First, start the Mozilla Firefox. Next, press the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Firefox menu button). It will show the drop-down menu. Next, press the “Help” button (Mozilla Firefox help button).

In the Help menu, press the “Troubleshooting Information”. In the upper-right corner of the “Troubleshooting Information” page, click “Refresh Firefox” button.

Confirm your action, click the “Refresh Firefox”.

Remove Update your Video Player pop-ups from Internet Explorer

To remove the Update your Video Player ads you need to reset the Internet Explorer to the state, that was when the Windows was installed on your system.

First, run the Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will open the drop-down menu on the right part of the browser, then click the “Internet Options” like below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, you need to select the “Advanced” tab and click the “Reset” button. The IE will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” dialog box as shown on the screen below. Next, click the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. After that, click the “Reset” button.

Once the procedure is finished, press “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and reboot your computer for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your browser’s settings to default state and disable ‘ad-supported’ extensions.

Get rid of unwanted Scheduled Tasks

Once installed, the adware can add a task in to the Windows Task Scheduler Library. Due to this, every time when you launch your personal computer, it will show misleading Update your Video Player page. So, you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and get rid of all tasks that have been created by malicious applications.

Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need delete this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it’s a component of the adware, then this task also should be removed.

Further press on it with the right mouse button and select Delete like below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by malicious program. Once is done, close the Task Scheduler window.
