Myeffert.online is misleading web-site that has been created to scare you into thinking that your computer have a lot of heavy problems with security, drivers, malware, etc in order to force you to call a fake Microsoft support. If you are seeing myeffert.online advertisements in the Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge and IE every time you use the web-browser to surf the World Wide Web, then most probably that your PC is infected with an adware (sometimes called ‘ad-supported’ software) which looks the entire traffic generated by you and on this basis, it shows a lot of annoying ads. At first, launch the Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It will appear the main menu. Click on the option named “Settings”. Another way to show the Google Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the web browser adress bar and press Enter.

The web browser will display the settings screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset settings” section is visible, as shown below and click the “Reset settings” button.

The Google Chrome will display the confirmation dialog box. You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The application will launch the procedure of cleaning. Once it is finished, the web-browser settings including the ‘block pop-ups’ option back to the values that have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your PC.

Remove myeffert.online pop-up ads from Internet Explorer

To delete the myeffert.online ads you need to reset the Microsoft Internet Explorer to the state, that was when the Windows was installed on your PC.

First, start the Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will show the drop-down menu on the right part of the internet browser, then click the “Internet Options” as shown on the screen below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, you need to select the “Advanced” tab and click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will display the “Reset IE settings” prompt as on the image below. Next, click the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. After that, press the “Reset” button.

When the procedure is complete, click “Close” button. Close the Microsoft Internet Explorer and restart your system for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your internet browser’s settings to default state and disable ‘ad-supported’ extensions.

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to delete myeffert.online redirect

When the adware is started, it can also change the browser’s shortcuts, adding an argument such as “http://site.address” into the Target field. Due to this, every time you launch the internet browser, it will be redirected to an annoying advertisements.

To clear the web browser shortcut, right-click to it and select Properties. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need remove this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it is a component of the malicious program, then this task also should be removed.

Further click on it with the right mouse button and select Delete as shown on the screen below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ programs. Once is done, close the Task Scheduler window.

After the download is complete, close all programs on your personal computer. Next, open the setup file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” prompt pops up as shown on the image below, click the Yes button.

It will open the “Setup wizard” which will help you install Malwarebytes on your computer. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.

Once installation is done successfully, click Finish button. Then Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main screen as shown on the image below.

Now click the “Scan Now” button for scanning your PC system for the adware that cause a redirect to myeffert.online. Once the adware or malware is found, the number of the detected objects will change accordingly. Wait until the the scanning is finished. Please be patient.
