Remove loginfaster.com pop-ups from Google Chrome

At first, start the Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It will appear the main menu. Click on the option named “Settings”. Another way to display the Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the browser adress bar and press Enter.

The web-browser will display the settings screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset settings” section is visible, as on the image below and click the “Reset settings” button.

The Google Chrome will show the confirmation prompt. You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The program will start the procedure of cleaning. Once it is finished, the browser settings including the ‘block pop-ups’ option back to the values that have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your system.

Get rid of loginfaster.com from Internet Explorer

First, start the IE, then press the button in the form of gear (Microsoft Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will open the Tools drop-down menu like below. Next, click the “Internet Options”.

In the Internet Options window click on the Advanced tab, then press the Reset button. The Internet Explorer will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” window like below. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box, then press on “Reset” button.

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to remove loginfaster.com redirect

Once the adware is started, it can also modify the web browser’s shortcuts, adding an argument like “http://site.address” into the Target field. Due to this, every time you launch the browser, it will be rerouted to an unwanted advertisements.

To clear the web browser shortcut, right-click to it and select Properties. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. Found something such as “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need delete this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it is a component of the ‘ad-supported’ software, then this task also should be removed.

Further click on it with the right mouse button and select Delete as shown in the figure below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ applications. Once is complete, close the Task Scheduler window.

  2. At the download page, press the Download button. Your web browser will open the “Save as” prompt. Please save it onto your desktop.
  3. When the download process is finished, please close all applications and open windows on your personal computer. Double-click on the icon that’s named mb3-setup.
  4. This will run the Setup wizard of Malwarebytes onto your PC. Follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
  5. When the Setup wizard has finished installing, the malware remover will start and show the main window.
  6. Further, press the “Scan Now” button . This will start scanning the whole machine to find out ad-supported software that redirects your internet browser to the loginfaster.com unwanted web-site. This task can take quite a while, so please be patient.
  7. Once the scan is finished, it will display a screen which contains a list of malicious software that has been found.
  8. When you are ready, press on “Quarantine Selected” button to begin cleaning your computer. When the process is finished, you may be prompted to reboot your machine.
  9. Close the Anti-Malware and continue with the next step.
