First, launch the FF. Next, press the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (FF menu button). It will show the drop-down menu. Next, click the “Help” button (Firefox help button).

Get rid of getacleancomputer.com ads from IE

To remove the getacleancomputer.com advertisements you need to reset the Microsoft Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the Windows was installed on your computer.

First, start the Microsoft Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon IE tools menu icon. It will open the drop-down menu on the right part of the browser, then click the “Internet Options” as shown below.

Once the process is done, click “Close” button. Close the Internet Explorer and restart your PC system for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your browser’s settings to default state and disable ‘ad-supported’ extensions.

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to get rid of getacleancomputer.com redirect

Found something such as “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need delete this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it is a component of the malicious software, then this task also should be removed.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by adware. Once is finished, close the Task Scheduler window.

After the download is finished, close all applications on your machine. Next, launch the setup file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” dialog box pops up as shown in the following image, click the Yes button.

It will show the “Setup wizard” which will help you install Malwarebytes on your PC. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.

Once installation is complete successfully, press Finish button. Then Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main screen as shown on the image below.

Now press the “Scan Now” button . This will begin scanning the whole PC to find out adware that cause a redirect to getacleancomputer.com.
