Right click on the browser’s shortcut, click Properties option. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. First, start the FF. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Firefox menu button). It will display the drop-down menu. Next, click the “Help” button (Firefox help button).

First, start the IE, then click Internet Explorer tools menu icon button. Next, click “Internet Options” like below.

In the “Internet Options” screen select the Advanced tab. Next, click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will display the “Reset Internet Explorer” settings dialog box. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box and click Reset button.

You will now need to restart your PC for the changes to take effect. It will restore the Internet Explorer’s settings like homepage and search engine by default to default state, disable ad-supported browser’s extensions and thereby delete the redirect to cssnews.ru annoying web-site.

Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks

Once installed, the ‘ad-supported’ software can add a task in to the Windows Task Scheduler Library. Due to this, every time when you start your computer, it will show cssnews.ru annoying page. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it’s a component of the ‘ad-supported’ application, then this task also should be removed.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by adware. Once is finished, close the Task Scheduler window.

Once the download is complete, close all software on your computer. Next, start the setup file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” prompt pops up as shown below, click the Yes button.

It will display the “Setup wizard” that will help you install Malwarebytes on your PC. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.

Once setup is complete successfully, click Finish button. Then Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main screen as shown below.

Now press the “Scan Now” button to perform a system scan for the ‘ad-supported’ software which cause a redirect to cssnews.ru. Once the ‘ad-supported’ software or malware is found, the number of the detected objects will change accordingly. Wait until the the checking is done. Please be patient.
