  1. If you are using Windows 8, 8.1 or 10 then press Windows key, click Search. Type “Control panel”and press Enter.

Now you need to clean up the web browser shortcuts. Check that the shortcut referring to the right exe-file of the browser, and not on any unknown file. Right click to a desktop shortcut for your web browser. Choose the “Properties” option.

Delete crophit.ru advertisements from Google Chrome

Like other modern internet browsers, the Chrome has the ability to reset the settings to their default values and thereby remove the redirect to crophit.ru annoying advertisements that is caused by the adware.

At first, run the Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It will appear the main menu. Click on the option named “Settings”. Another way to display the Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the web-browser adress bar and press Enter.

The Google Chrome will display the confirmation dialog box. You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The program will run the task of cleaning. When it’s done, the internet browser settings including the ‘block pop-ups’ option back to the values that have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your PC.

Remove crophit.ru ads from IE

First, start the Internet Explorer, then click IE tools menu icon button. Next, click “Internet Options” as shown in the following image.

In the “Internet Options” screen select the Advanced tab. Next, click the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will show the “Reset Internet Explorer” settings dialog box. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box and press Reset button.

Get rid of unwanted Scheduled Tasks

Once installed, the ‘ad-supported’ software can add a task in to the Windows Task Scheduler Library. Due to this, every time when you start your system, it will show crophit.ru annoying web site. So, you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all tasks that have been created by malicios program.

Press Windows and R keys on your keyboard at the same time. It will show a prompt that titled with Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, click “Task Scheduler Library”, as shown below.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be display just below automatically. Next, click the Actions tab. Necessary to look at the text which is written under Details. Found something such as “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address” or “firefox.exe http://site.address”, then you need remove this task. If you are not sure that executes the task, then google it. If it is a component of the malicious software, then this task also should be removed.

Further press on it with the right mouse button and select Delete as shown in the figure below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by adware. Once is finished, close the Task Scheduler window.

How to delete crophit.ru pop-up ads automatically

When the download is finished, close all software on your machine. Next, start the setup file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” dialog box pops up as shown below, press the Yes button.

It will open the “Setup wizard” that will help you install Malwarebytes on your computer. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.

Once installation is complete successfully, press Finish button. Then Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main screen as shown in the following image.

Now click the “Scan Now” button . This will start scanning the whole computer to find out adware which cause a redirect to crophit.ru. Once the adware or malware is found, the number of the detected objects will change accordingly. Wait until the the scanning is finished. Please be patient.
