If the FF settings have been modified by the adware, then resetting it to the default state can help you to delete the redirect onto strfls.com web site.

First, launch the Firefox and click Firefox menu button button. It will open the drop-down menu on the right-part of the web-browser. Next, press the Help button (Firefox help button) like below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the browser address bar and press Enter. It will open the “Troubleshooting Information” page like below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, press the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will display the confirmation dialog box, press the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Firefox will start a procedure to fix your problems that caused by the adware. When it’s complete, click the “Finish” button

Remove strfls.com redirect from Chrome

Like other modern browsers, the Chrome has the ability to reset the settings to their default values and thereby delete the redirect to strfls.com unwanted ads that is caused by the ‘ad-supported’ software.

At first, start the Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It will appear the main menu. Click on the option named “Settings”. Another way to display the Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the browser adress bar and press Enter.

The browser will display the settings screen. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Show advanced settings” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset settings” section is visible, as shown in the following image and click the “Reset settings” button.

The Chrome will show the confirmation dialog box. You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The program will start the procedure of cleaning. Once it’s finished, the web-browser settings including the ‘block pop-ups’ option back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your computer.

Delete strfls.com advertisements from Microsoft Internet Explorer

First, start the Internet Explorer, then click the button in the form of gear (Microsoft Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will open the Tools drop-down menu as shown in the figure below. Next, press the “Internet Options”.

In the Internet Options window click on the Advanced tab, then press the Reset button. The Microsoft Internet Explorer will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” window as shown in the following image. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box, then press on “Reset” button.

You will now need to restart your machine for the changes to take effect.

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to delete strfls.com redirect

Once the adware is started, it can also alter the web-browser’s shortcuts, adding an argument such as “http://site.address” into the Target field. Due to this, every time you open the web-browser, it will be rerouted to an annoying advertisements.

To clear the internet browser shortcut, right-click to it and select Properties. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. You will see a text which begins with “http://” which has been added here. You need to remove it.

Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks

If the unwanted strfls.com web site opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all the tasks that have been created by adware.

Press Windows and R keys on the keyboard together. This displays a dialog box that titled as Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, click “Task Scheduler Library”, like below.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be display just below automatically. Next, click the Actions tab. Pay attention to that it launches on your machine. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address”, then you need remove it. If you are not sure that executes the task, check it through a search engine. If it is a component of the adware, then this task also should be removed.

After downloading is finished, close all windows on your machine. Further, launch the file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” dialog box pops up as shown on the image below, click the Yes button.

Next, click the “Scan Now” button to perform a system scan for the malware and adware that cause the strfls.com advertisements. When a threat is found, the number of the detected objects will change accordingly. Wait until the the checking is done. Please be patient.
