How to remove Virus Doctor (Delete instructions)

Myantispyware team February 5, 2009

Virus Doctor is a fake (rogue) antispyware program that uses scare tactics (display fake alerts and false positives) to trick you into buying the fake software. This program is distributed through the use of popups that your PC has a security risk. If you close this popup then will open a webpage looking as online antimalware scanner, but in reality it is just a fake online scanner designed to make you think you are infected.

During installation, Virus Doctor is set to start automatically when your computer starts. Once running, it will scan your computer and list a large amount of infections. Then, Virus Doctor said that you should purchase the program in order to remove them and protect your computer. Computer users are urged to avoid purchasing this bogus program!

Virus Doctor generates false security alerts such as the following:

Malicious applications which can contain trojans found on your PC need to be immediately removed. Click here to remove these potentially harmful items immediately with Virus Doctor.

An unauthorized program has been prevented from accessing your PC.#Port:433 from 92.11.127.10

These fake alerts may drastically slow the performance of your computer. Please ignore these warnings. Use the free instructions below for removing the Virus Doctor and any associated malware from your PC.
