Deleting the KingResults, check the list of installed programs first

Once complete, check your home page and search engine settings. Click “General” tab. Make sure that the “Homepage” field contains the website you want or is empty.

Make sure that the “Search engine” setting shows your preferred search provider. In some versions of Safari, this setting is in the “Search” tab.

Delete KingResults from Mozilla Firefox by resetting web-browser settings

If Firefox settings are hijacked by KingResults or your internet browser displays annoying pop up ads, then ‘Reset Firefox’ could solve these problems. It will save your personal information like saved passwords, bookmarks, auto-fill data and open tabs.

First, run the Firefox and press Firefox menu button button. It will display the drop-down menu on the right-part of the internet browser. Further, press the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button) like the one below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the internet browser adress bar and press Enter. It will display the “Troubleshooting Information” page like below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, click the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will display the confirmation prompt. Further, press the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Mozilla Firefox will begin a task to fix your problems that caused by the KingResults adware. When, it is finished, click the “Finish” button.

Remove KingResults from Google Chrome

Reset Chrome settings will help you to completely reset your web-browser. The result of activating this function will bring Google Chrome settings back to its original state. This can get rid of KingResults ads and disable malicious addons. Essential information such as bookmarks, browsing history, passwords, cookies, auto-fill data and personal dictionaries will not be removed.

  1. First start the Google Chrome and click Menu button (small button in the form of three dots).
  2. It will open the Chrome main menu. Select More Tools, then click Extensions.
  3. You’ll see the list of installed addons. If the list has the extension labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following steps: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
  4. Now open the Chrome menu once again, click the “Settings” menu.
  5. You will see the Chrome’s settings page. Scroll down and click “Advanced” link.
  6. Scroll down again and press the “Reset” button.
  7. The Chrome will show the reset profile settings page as shown on the screen above.
  8. Next press the “Reset” button.
  9. Once this process is finished, your browser’s new tab, start page and default search engine will be restored to their original defaults.
