Noteco.me is a misleading web page that deceives unsuspecting users into subscribing to browser notification spam to send unwanted advertisements to your internet browser. This web page will display the ‘Show notifications’ confirmation request that attempts to get you to click the ‘Allow’ button to subscribe to its notifications.

The devs behind Noteco.me use these push notifications to bypass pop up blocker and therefore display lots of unwanted ads.   • Remove the Noteco.me URL and other rogue notifications by clicking three vertical dots button next to each and selecting ‘Remove’.
  • Open Google Chrome.
  • In the top right corner, tap on Chrome’s main menu button, represented by three vertical dots.
  • In the menu tap ‘Settings’, scroll down to ‘Advanced’.
  • In the ‘Site Settings’, tap on ‘Notifications’, find the Noteco.me site and tap on it.
  • Tap the ‘Clean & Reset’ button and confirm.

  • In the top right corner of the browser window, click the Menu button, represented by three bars.
  • In the menu go to ‘Options’, in the menu on the left go to ‘Privacy & Security’.
  • Scroll down to the ‘Permissions’ section and click the ‘Settings’ button next to ‘Notifications’.
  • Locate sites you down’t want to see notifications from (for example, Noteco.me), click on drop-down menu next to each and select ‘Block’.
  • Save changes.
  • In the top right hand corner, click on the three dots to expand the Edge menu.
  • Click ‘Settings’. Click ‘Advanced’ on the left side of the window.
  • In the ‘Website permissions’ section click ‘Manage permissions’.
  • Right-click the Noteco.me site. Click ‘Delete’.

  • In the top-right corner of the screen, click on the menu button (gear icon).
  • Select ‘Internet options’.
  • Click on the ‘Privacy’ tab and select ‘Settings’ in the pop-up blockers section.
  • Select the Noteco.me URL and other dubious sites under and remove them one by one by clicking the ‘Remove’ button.
  • Go to ‘Preferences’ in the Safari menu.
  • Open ‘Websites’ tab, then in the left menu click on ‘Notifications’.
  • Check for Noteco.me URL, other dubious URLs and apply the ‘Deny’ option for each.

Remove Noteco.me ads from Google Chrome

If adware software, other application or extensions changed your Chrome settings without your knowledge, then you can remove Noteco.me pop-up advertisements and revert back your web browser settings in Google Chrome at any time. Your saved bookmarks, form auto-fill information and passwords won’t be cleared or changed.

First run the Chrome. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal dots (Chrome menu button).

It will show the Chrome menu. Select More Tools, then click Extensions. Carefully browse through the list of installed plugins. If the list has the extension signed with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following tutorial: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.

Open the Chrome menu once again. Further, click the option called “Settings”.

The browser will open the settings screen. Another way to open the Chrome’s settings – type chrome://settings in the web browser adress bar and press Enter

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and press the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset” section is visible, as shown below and click the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

You need to confirm your action, press the “Reset” button. The web browser will launch the task of cleaning. Once it is complete, the internet browser’s settings including search provider by default, newtab page and homepage back to the values which have been when the Chrome was first installed on your personal computer.

Remove Noteco.me popup advertisements from Mozilla Firefox

Resetting your Mozilla Firefox is first troubleshooting step for any issues with your browser program, including the redirect to Noteco.me webpage. Your saved bookmarks, form auto-fill information and passwords won’t be cleared or changed.

Click the Menu button (looks like three horizontal lines), and click the blue Help icon located at the bottom of the drop down menu as shown in the following example.

Follow the onscreen procedure to revert back your Firefox browser settings to their original settings.

Remove Noteco.me advertisements from Internet Explorer

If you find that IE browser settings like search provider by default, new tab page and start page had been replaced by adware that cause intrusive Noteco.me advertisements, then you may return your settings, via the reset internet browser procedure.

First, open the Internet Explorer. Next, press the button in the form of gear (Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will display the Tools drop-down menu, click the “Internet Options” as shown in the figure below.

In the “Internet Options” window click on the Advanced tab, then press the Reset button. The Internet Explorer will show the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” window as on the image below. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box, then click “Reset” button.

How to automatically remove Noteco.me pop-ups

Now click the “Scan Now” button to detect adware that causes Noteco.me advertisements in your web browser. Depending on your personal computer, the scan can take anywhere from a few minutes to close to an hour. During the scan MalwareBytes Free will scan for threats exist on your computer.
