  3. After the downloading process is complete, please close all software and open windows on your PC. Double-click on the icon that’s called mb3-setup.
  4. This will launch the “Setup wizard” of MalwareBytes AntiMalware (MBAM) onto your computer. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.

Remove Win32.Adware.Mindspark from Mozilla Firefox

The Firefox reset will remove modified preferences, extensions and security settings. It will save your personal information such as saved passwords, bookmarks, auto-fill data and open tabs.

First, run the Firefox. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Firefox menu button). It will display the drop-down menu. Next, click the Help button (Mozilla Firefox help button).

In the Help menu click the “Troubleshooting Information”. In the upper-right corner of the “Troubleshooting Information” page click on “Refresh Firefox” button as displayed below.

Confirm your action, press the “Refresh Firefox”.

Remove Win32.Adware.Mindspark from IE

If you find that Internet Explorer browser settings had been hijacked by the Win32.Adware.Mindspark , then you may revert back your settings, via the reset web-browser procedure.

First, launch the Internet Explorer, press IE tools menu icon) button. Next, click “Internet Options” like below.

In the “Internet Options” screen select the Advanced tab. Next, press Reset button. The Internet Explorer will open the Reset Internet Explorer settings dialog box. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box and click Reset button.

You will now need to reboot your computer for the changes to take effect. It will delete Win32.Adware.Mindspark and other kinds of potential threats like malicious software and potentially unwanted software, disable malicious and ad-supported browser’s extensions and restore the Internet Explorer’s settings like search engine by default, home page and new tab to default state.

Remove Win32.Adware.Mindspark from Chrome

  3. You’ll see the list of installed extensions. If the list has the extension labeled with “Installed by enterprise policy” or “Installed by your administrator”, then complete the following tutorial: Remove Chrome extensions installed by enterprise policy.
  4. Now open the Chrome menu once again, click the “Settings” menu.
  5. You will see the Google Chrome’s settings page. Scroll down and click “Advanced” link.
  6. Scroll down again and click the “Reset” button.
  7. The Google Chrome will show the reset profile settings page as shown on the image above.
  8. Next click the “Reset” button.
  9. Once this procedure is complete, your web browser’s new tab, search provider by default and startpage will be restored to their original defaults.
