The intl.towpath.xyz pop-ups should not be underestimated, because the reason for their appearance within your web-browser is penetration an adware (also known as ‘ad-supported’ software) into your PC system. Uninstall suspicious and unknown software by using Windows Control Panel

First, you should try to identify and uninstall the application that causes the appearance of annoying advertisements and browser redirect to unwanted web-sites, using the ‘Uninstall a program’ which is located in the ‘Control panel’.

Once you have found a suspicious, unwanted or unused program, right click to it and press ‘Uninstall’.

We recommend to sort the list by date of installation to quickly find the applications that were installed last. If you are in doubt, you can always check the program by doing a search for her name in Google, Yahoo or Bing. Remove intl.towpath.xyz redirect from Firefox

If the FF settings have been modified by the adware, then resetting it to the default state can help you to remove the redirect onto intl.towpath.xyz advertisements.

First, start the FF and press Firefox menu button button. It will show the drop-down menu on the right-part of the internet browser. Next, click the Help button (FF help button) as shown in the figure below.

In the Help menu, select the “Troubleshooting Information” option. Another way to open the “Troubleshooting Information” screen – type “about:support” in the web browser adress bar and press Enter. It will open the “Troubleshooting Information” page like below. In the upper-right corner of this screen, click the “Refresh Firefox” button.

It will display the confirmation dialog box, click the “Refresh Firefox” button. The Mozilla Firefox will begin a process to fix your problems that caused by the adware. When it’s done, click the “Finish” button

Remove intl.towpath.xyz advertisements from Chrome

Reset Google Chrome settings is a simple way to get rid of the malware and ad supported software, as well as to restore the internet browser’s settings that have been replaced by ad supported software.

Delete intl.towpath.xyz pop-ups from IE

To delete the intl.towpath.xyz pop-ups you need to reset the Microsoft Internet Explorer to the state, which was when the Windows was installed on your computer.

First, start the Microsoft Internet Explorer, then click ‘gear’ icon Microsoft Internet Explorer tools menu icon. It will show the drop-down menu on the right part of the internet browser, then click the “Internet Options” as shown on the screen below.

In the “Internet Options” screen, you need to select the “Advanced” tab and press the “Reset” button. The Internet Explorer will open the “Reset Microsoft Internet Explorer settings” dialog box as shown on the image below. Next, press the “Delete personal settings” check box to select it. After that, click the “Reset” button.

Once the process is complete, click “Close” button. Close the Microsoft Internet Explorer and restart your machine for the changes to take effect. This step will help you to restore your web browser’s settings to default state and disable ‘ad-supported’ extensions.

Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks

If the unwanted intl.towpath.xyz web-site opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all the tasks that have been created by malicious programs.

Press Windows and R keys on the keyboard together. This opens a prompt that called Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, click “Task Scheduler Library”, as shown on the image below.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be show just below automatically. Next, press the Actions tab. Pay attention to that it launches on your computer. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address”, then you need remove it. If you are not sure that executes the task, check it through a search engine. If it is a component of the malicious applications, then this task also should be removed.

Having defined the task that you want to get rid of, then click on it with the right mouse button and select Delete as shown below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ applications. Once is finished, close the Task Scheduler window.
