please help, every time I click on links in my Google Chrome browser it redirects me to smartredirect.de. I searched the internet and found that I am not the only one who ran into this problem.
How do I get rid of smartredirect.de redirect?

To remove smartredirect.de redirect, try resetting your Chrome settings, and if that doesn’t work then:
1.open the list of extensions
2. disable all extensions
3.enabling extensions one at a time, find the one that causes a redirect to this site
