How to remove MyBeeSearchService adware [Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge]

If your browser began to open tons of advertisements signed with MyBeeSearchService or MyBeeSearch, then most probably your computer has become a victim of ‘ad-supported’ software (also known as adware) that usually gets installed as a part of some free applications. Do not be surprised, it happens, especially if you are an active World Wide Web user. But this does not mean that you should reconcile with these unwanted redirects and pop-up ads. Use the step-by-step guide below to clean your computer as quickly as possible, as the adware can be a way to infect your PC system with more dangerous malicious programs like viruses and trojans. The steps which follow, I’ll show you how to get rid of adware and thereby remove MyBeeSearchService annoying ads from your PC system forever.

The adware usually affects only the Firefox, Google Chrome, IE and Edge by changing the internet browser’s settings or installing a harmful extensions (addons). Moreover, possible situations, when any other browsers will be affected too. The ‘ad supported’ software will perform a scan of the computer for internet browser shortcuts and modify them without your permission. When it infects the internet browser shortcuts, it will add the argument such as ‘http://site.address’ into Target property. So, each time you start the internet browser, you will see an annoying ad site.

The MyBeeSearchService ad-supported software is not a virus, but the virus behaves similarly. As a rootkit hides in the system, modifies web browser settings and blocks them from changing. Also the ad supported software can install additional web browser extensions, addons and modules that will inject advertising banners within the Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Edge’s screen. Moreover, the ad-supported software may install internet browser hijacker that once started, will modify the web browser’s homepage and search engine. And finally, the MyBeeSearch can collect a wide variety of personal information such as what web-sites you are opening, what you are looking for the World Wide Web and so on. This information, in the future, may be transferred to third parties.

So, obviously, you need to delete the ad supported software ASAP. Use the free few simple steps below. This guide will help you clean your personal computer of unwanted pop-up ads and remove MyBeeSearch and MyBeeSearchService adware.

How to MyBeeSearch and MyBeeSearchService adware get installed on to your computer

Probably, the adware get installed onto your computer when you have installed a free programs like E-Mail checker, PDF creator, video codec, etc. Because, most commonly the adware is bundled within the installation packages from Softonic, Cnet, Soft32, Brothersoft or other similar sites. Even removing the application that contains adware, does not help you get rid of the MyBeeSearchService ads. Therefore, you must follow the instructions below to delete all annoying advertisements.

How to manually remove MyBeeSearchService

The following instructions is a step-by-step guide, which will allow you manually remove MyBeeSearchService redirect from the Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  1. Delete suspicious and unknown software by using Windows Control Panel
  2. Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts
  3. Delete MyBeeSearchService pop-ups from FF
  4. Delete MyBeeSearchService advertisements from Google Chrome
  5. Remove MyBeeSearchService from Internet Explorer
  6. Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks

Delete suspicious and unknown software by using Windows Control Panel

First, you should try to identify and delete the application that causes the appearance of unwanted ads and web-browser redirect to unwanted sites, using the ‘Uninstall a program’ which is located in the ‘Control panel’.

Press Windows key windows key, then click Search windows search. Type ‘Control panel’and press Enter like below.

Very carefully look around the entire list of installed applications. Most likely, one or more of them are responsible for the web browser redirect to unwanted MyBeeSearchService pop-up ads. If you have many programs installed, you can help simplify the search of malicious programs by sort the list by date of installation. Once you have found a suspicious, unwanted or unused program, right click to it and press ‘Uninstall’.

First, press ‘Start’ button and select ‘Control Panel’ at right panel as on the image below.

When the Windows ‘Control Panel’ opens, you need to click ‘Uninstall a program’ under ‘Programs’ as shown on the screen below.

You will see a list of software installed on your PC system. We recommend to sort the list by date of installation to quickly find the programs that were installed last. Most likely they responsibility for the appearance of unwanted popup ads and web browser redirect. If you are in doubt, you can always check the program by doing a search for her name in Google, Yahoo or Bing. When the program, you need to remove, is found, simply press on its name, and then click ‘Uninstall’ as on the image below.

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts

Once the ‘ad supported’ software is started, it can also modify the internet browser’s shortcuts, adding an argument such as “http://site.address” into the Target field. Due to this, every time you run the browser, it will be rerouted to an annoying ads.

To clear the browser shortcut, right-click to it and select Properties. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. You will see a text that starts with “http://” which has been added here. You need to remove it.

When the argument is removed, click the OK button. You need to clean all shortcuts of all your browsers, as they may be infected too.

Delete MyBeeSearchService pop-ups from FF

First, start the Mozilla Firefox. Next, click the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Mozilla Firefox menu button). It will display the drop-down menu. Next, click the “Help” button (Firefox help button).

In the Help menu, click the “Troubleshooting Information”. In the upper-right corner of the “Troubleshooting Information” page, click “Refresh Firefox” button.

Confirm your action, click the “Refresh Firefox”.

Delete MyBeeSearchService advertisements from Google Chrome

Reset Chrome settings is a easy way to remove the malware and adware, as well as to restore the browser’s settings that have been replaced by ad-supported software.

  1. Now run the Chrome and click Menu button (small button in the form of three horizontal stripes).
  2. It will show the Google Chrome main menu. Select “Settings” option.
  3. You will see the Chrome’s settings page. Scroll down and press “Show advanced settings” link.
  4. Scroll down again and click the “Reset settings” button.
  5. The Google Chrome will display the reset profile settings page as shown on the screen above.
  6. Next, click the “Reset” button.
  7. When this process is complete, your web browser’s settings will be restored to their original defaults. This will reset your homepage, new tab and default search engine.

Remove MyBeeSearchService from Internet Explorer

First, run the Internet Explorer, then click the button in the form of gear (Microsoft Internet Explorer tools menu icon). It will display the Tools drop-down menu as shown on the image below. Next, press the “Internet Options”.

In the Internet Options window click on the Advanced tab, then click the Reset button. The IE will display the “Reset Internet Explorer settings” window like below. Select the “Delete personal settings” check box, then click on “Reset” button.

You will now need to restart your machine for the changes to take effect.

Remove unwanted Scheduled Tasks

If the unwanted ad page opens automatically on Windows startup or at equal time intervals, then you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and delete all the tasks that have been created by ‘ad-supported’ applications.

Press Windows and R keys on the keyboard at the same time. This displays a prompt that titled with Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click OK. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, press “Task Scheduler Library”, like below.

In the middle part you will see a list of installed tasks. Select the first task, its properties will be open just below automatically. Next, click the Actions tab. Pay attention to that it launches on your PC system. Found something like “explorer.exe http://site.address” or “chrome.exe http://site.address”, then you need delete it. If you are not sure that executes the task, check it through a search engine. If it’s a component of the adware, then this task also should be removed.

Having defined the task that you want to remove, then click on it with the right mouse button and select Delete as on the image below.

Repeat this step, if you have found a few tasks that have been created by adware. Once is finished, close the Task Scheduler window.

How to get rid of MyBeeSearchService ads automatically

Manual removal is not always as effective as you might think. Often, even the most experienced users can not completely remove MyBeeSearch and MyBeeSearchService adware from the infected personal computer. This is because the adware can hide its components which are difficult for you to find out and delete completely. When the download is complete, close all software on your system. Next, start the setup file named mb3-setup. If the “User Account Control” prompt pops up as shown below, click the Yes button.

It will open the “Setup wizard” which will help you install Malwarebytes on your machine. Follow the prompts and don’t make any changes to default settings.

Once setup is finished successfully, press Finish button. Then Malwarebytes will automatically start and you can see its main screen as shown on the image below.

Now click the “Scan Now” button to start checking your personal computer for the MyBeeSearchService adware that displays lots of annoying ads. Once the ad-supported software or malware is found, the number of the detected objects will change accordingly. Wait until the the scanning is finished. Please be patient.

When the system scan is done, you can check all threats detected on your computer. Make sure all entries have “checkmark” and click “Quarantine Selected” button. The Malwarebytes will start removing malware and MyBeeSearch adware. Once disinfection is finished, you may be prompted to reboot your system.
