The Webpageing.com is a new browser hijacker infection from the big family of internet browser hijackers that affects web-browsers and alters its settings such as homepage, search engine by default. It is currently very active spreading on the Web. Many users have problems with cleaning a PC system from Webpageing.com search and restoring the Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge settings.

The Webpageing.com hijacker usually affects only the Chrome, Firefox, IE and MS Edge. However, possible situations, when any other browsers will be affected too. The browser hijacker will perform a scan of the PC for web-browser shortcuts and modify them without your permission. When it infects the internet browser shortcuts, it will add the argument like ‘http://{URL}’ into Target property. So, each time you run the browser, you will see the Webpageing.com unwanted homepage.

Get rid of Webpageing.com associated software by using Windows Control Panel

Disinfect the browser’s shortcuts to remove Webpageing.com homepage

Once installed, this browser hijacker may add “http://webpageing.com/” into the Target property of the desktop shortcut for the Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Due to this, every time you open the web-browser, it will display the annoying startpage.

Right click on the internet browser’s shortcut, click Properties option. On the Shortcut tab, locate the Target field. Click inside, you will see a vertical line – arrow pointer, move it (using -> arrow key on your keyboard) to the right as possible. You will see a text “http://webpageing.com/” that has been added here. Remove everything after .exe. An example, for Google Chrome you should remove everything after chrome.exe. clean a shorcut Click OK to save changes. You need to clean all internet browser’s shortcuts. So, repeat this step for the Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

Remove Webpageing.com from Chrome

Like other modern browsers, the Google Chrome has the ability to reset the settings to their default values and thus restore the homepage, new tab page and search engine by default that have been modified by the Webpageing.com infection.

Start the Google Chrome. Click on the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (google chrome menu button). It will appear the main menu. Click on the option named “Settings”. You need to confirm your action. Press on the “Reset” button. The program will start the process of cleaning and when it is finished, the browser settings including startpage, new tab page and default search engine back to the values that have been when the Chrome was first installed on your system.

Delete Webpageing.com from Firefox

Open the Firefox menu by clicking on the button in the form of three horizontal stripes (Mozilla Firefox menu button). It opens the drop-down menu. Click on the Help button (Firefox help button). FF settings menu In the Help menu click on the “Troubleshooting Information”. In the upper-right corner of the “Troubleshooting Information” page click on “Refresh Firefox” button. Delete Webpageing.com homepage from Internet Explorer

Next press Reset button. The Microsoft Internet Explorer will show the Reset Internet Explorer settings prompt. It will remove Webpageing.com browser hijacker infection, disable malicious and ad-supported browser’s extensions and restore the Internet Explorer’s homepage to default state.

Once downloaded, close all programs and windows on your PC system. Open a directory in which you saved it. Double-click on the icon that named mbam-setup like below.
