It will launch the AdwCleaner utility and you will see a screen as shown in the figure below. If the User Account Control prompt will ask you want to start the program, press Yes button to continue.
Next, click “Scan” .AdwCleaner program will scan through the whole computer for the PUP.Optional.Legacy and other unwanted applications. This task can take quite a while, so please be patient. When a malware, ‘ad supported’ software or PUPs are found, the count of the security threats will change accordingly. Wait until the the checking is finished.
