Delete unwanted Scheduled Tasks
Once installed, the ad-supported software can add a task in to the Windows Task Scheduler Library. Due to this, every time when you start your PC system, it will open the searchmgr.com unwanted page. Press Windows and R keys on your keyboard at the same time. This opens a prompt that called Run. In the text field, type “taskschd.msc” (without the quotes) and click Enter. Task Scheduler window opens. In the left-hand side, click “Task Scheduler Library”, as shown in the figure below.

Once downloaded, close all programs and windows on your system. Open a directory in which you saved it. Double-click on the icon that’s named mb3-setup like below.
When the install begins, you will see the “Setup wizard” which will help you install Malwarebytes on your PC.
When install is finished, you will see window as on the image below.
Now press on the “Scan Now” button . This will start scanning the whole PC system to find out ad supported software that causes the redirect to searchmgr web page. This process can take some time, so please be patient.
When the system scan is complete, make sure all entries have “checkmark” and click “Quarantine Selected” button. The Malwarebytes will start removing the adware related files, folders, registry keys. Once the disinfection is complete, you may be prompted to Restart.

Once the downloading process is done, open the directory in which you saved it and double-click the AdwCleaner icon. It will start the AdwCleaner utility and you will see a screen as shown below. If the User Account Control dialog box will ask you want to open the program, click Yes button to continue.
Now, press the “Scan” to begin scanning your PC system for the ‘ad-supported’ software that cause a redirect to searchmgr.com ads.
When it has finished scanning your system, it will show a list of all items detected by this tool as shown in the following image.
You need to click “Clean” button. It will open a prompt, click “OK” to start the cleaning procedure. Once the clean-up is done, the AdwCleaner may ask you to restart your personal computer. After restart, the AdwCleaner will open the log file.
