Virustotal offers a free service for scanning suspicious files using several antivirus engines.

How to use Virustotal scanner.

  • Go to VirusTotal site.
  • On top you’ll find ‘Browse’.
  • Click the browse button and browse to a file, that you want to check.
  • Click Open.
  • Then click the ‘Send’ button next to it.
  • This will scan the file. Please be patient.
  • Once scanned a report will open up.
